Suggest Checker

Overview

The Suggest Checker allows users to enter a search term (or just the first few letters) to check the suggested results.

The results are divided into three categories:

  • SearchTerm: Terms that users have already searched for.
  • Category: Shop categories that match the input.
  • Style: Relevant products that match the input.

SearchTerm (User Search Queries)

  • Displays previously entered search terms.
  • Clicking on a search term triggers a standard search for that term.
  • The part of the query that matches the input is shown in bold.
  • Additional information is displayed in parentheses:
MetricDescription
PenaltyHigher values mean lower ranking (e.g., due to typo corrections).
CountNumber of times the term was searched in the last 30 days.
KPI-ScoreA Business Intelligence (BI) score available only for highly searched terms.

Sorting Order

Results are sorted by:

  1. Penalty (lower is better).
  2. Search count (higher is better).
  3. KPI-Score (only for certain terms).

Category (Shop Categories)

  • Clicking a category does not trigger a search.
  • Instead, the user is directly navigated to the category.
  • The Category ID is displayed for reference (useful for the Category Checker).

Style (Products)

  • Displays:

    • Product image.
    • Text as shown in the shop’s suggest feature.
  • Additional information:

    • SKU (Stock Keeping Unit).
    • Ranking score (calculated based on business rules and average availability).
  • Clicking on a style does not trigger a search.

  • Instead, the user is directly navigated to the product detail page.
