Service & Help Content

The service & help section of a website is designed to support users by providing information, solutions to problems, and contact options. Its purpose is to increase user satisfaction and customer loyalty, strengthen trust in the company, and reduce the workload of customer service. It makes a significant contribution to a positive user experience.

A key feature of the “Service” content type is its publication together with a classic tree-structured navigation. A page of the Service content type is usually linked to a navigation item in the service/help navigation. The structure and functionality of the navigation are described in a separate chapter.

Content Types

What can editors publish with this content type?

  • Service and help pages with information, solutions, and contact options
  • Content to support users and reduce the workload of customer service
  • Pages that are directly linked with navigation items in the service menu

How to create new Service Content

  1. In the top menu, open the second bar and select: Content → Add Content → Service Content.
  2. Drupal creates a new page with a unique ID of the type “Service-Help Content”.
  3. Enter a name for the page in the required “Title” field (e.g., “Returns & Exchanges” or “Contact & Help”).
  4. Click “Save” at the bottom left to create the page; it will appear as an empty entry in the content overview and can then be further edited.
  5. Link the page to a menu item via the service menu:
    • Open the menu: Structure → Menus → Service
    • Click “ADD LINK” to create a new menu item and select the previously created Service-Help Content page to link it.
    • Only after linking can the URL alias in the Service-Help Content be correctly generated.
