CS Tooltip
The “Tooltip” content snippet is used for the central management of supplementary information, such as the “fine print” for promotional campaigns. Editors enter the text in the CMS and then assign it to a graphic or headline in the form of a small info icon. The stored text is then displayed as a classic tooltip when hovering over the info icon. The advantage lies in the centralized maintenance of the content and the flexible use across various promotional materials in the shop.
Use cases for the Tooltip snippet
- Supplementary information for promotions, discounts, or product details
- “Fine print” for marketing campaigns, compliance notices, legal information
- Centralized management and flexible integration at any location in the shop (e.g., banners, headlines, product lists)
Management and creation of the Tooltip snippet
- Creation and maintenance centrally in the CMS as a separate content snippet
- Assignment of the tooltip text to an info icon on a graphic, headline, or another shop element
- Overview of all tooltip snippets in the section “Content → Content Snippet Bundle”
- New tooltip snippets can be created via “Add Content Snippet” and selecting “Tooltip”
- Existing tooltip snippets can be cloned to quickly create new variants
